Mylene Jampanoi was born in 1980 to a Chinese father and a French mother in Aix-en-Provence, south of France.She had her first role in 2002 in a sitcom called Sous le Soleil where she embodied Laeticia, a young woman with a tumor.
After a few small parts, she finally snagged two first roles in 2006 - Li Ming in Dai Sijie's The Chinese Botanist's Daughters, a young Chinese woman in love with another woman in China in the 1980's; Ushna in Pan Nalin's Valley of Flowers, a female demon.
She became famous in the horror industry thanks to her role in 2008 Martyrs. Recently, she was in a TV film (La Peau de Chagrin) based off a Balzac novel and produced by a great French channel.
